About
Born and raised in northern Germany, she brings an architecturally informed perspective to her practice, shaped by her training as a technical drafter specializing in architecture. She recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design at Muthesius University of Fine Arts Kiel, where she focused particularly on photography and book design. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Experimental Design at HFBK Hamburg. The programme approaches design through hands-on engagement with everyday concerns, urban and communal issues, and social conflicts.
Rooted in her East German family history, she spent a semester abroad in Sofia, where she experienced an unexpected sense of familiarity in the visible and invisible traces of a former political system. This experience led to a series of projects exploring reorientation, getting lost and finding one’s way again within the urban landscape.
Her practice is increasingly concerned with public space and the social and political structures that shape it. She is interested in collective practices and temporary spatial interventions, as well as documenting the transformations that unfold through them.
In her future work, she wants to explore the social spaces we inhabit and the people within them – examining fractures, transitions, the in-between.
